WOWZERS! I am on FYAH. Side note, I am a Super Sleuth, so you all better watch it.
So the fence got done, it is super pretty. And by pretty, I actually just mean it is a jolly great grey/white fence that keeps the baddies out and the Dozers in. Hurray!
Next drama, I wanted to fix the back door deadbolt, because it is SUPER hard to lock and even unlock. I managed to get some special dry lube (make sure you use dry lubricant as others will attract dust and grime... thank you internet), and tighten the hinges, but unfortunately for me, I cannot find a file in the vast garage which is required to finish the job. I have been very busy all this week and only managed to get to Bunnings today, so after some more nail polish - locating techniques and a lot of filing, we have a fantastically smooth door :)
Today, I was a busy beaver, and I had a photoshoot in the morning (yes, I am a part-time model, I've had to keep my day job though), and then I went grocery shopping, got sushi (it was average), picked up the file from Bunnings, and came home ready for a relaxing afternoon of door fixing and laundry. However, I flushed the toilet, and the whole cistern emptied onto the floor. I roped my pal ShipShape Shazz into a last minute trip to, you guessed it, Bunnings. We nearly got locked in Bunnings because we thought we couldn't find the thing we wanted, and then the guy we got to assist ran away, and then then the new people that were helping us didn't know anything either... but $3.90 later and we were back in the car trying to figure out how to get the perished rubber seal off the pipe and see if the new "pan cone" fitted on. I am SO lucky to have ShipShape, because I couldn't get the old seal off, and then later, after soaking the pan cone in warm soapy water, I got it on the pipe, put the pipe back on the cistern, then prepared to use the old "inside out" method to fit the new seal onto the toilet bowl (thank you internet). I may be an expert Googler, but ShipShape is definitely the brawn of the operation, I could not get it done but she just jumped in, gave it a bit of Elbow grease, and Bob's your uncle. You will see by these photos how helpful I was.
Sorry for the injury though pal - no pain, no gain. I hope the first aid powder worked :)
Found myself a sweet pillow to relax against, I have a busy day planned tomorrow making a wee area for Dozer. Oh hahahaha that was a pun. Just you wait guys, just you wait!
